Resolvin D1 (RvD1) Regulates Porphyromonas Gingivalis Lipopolysaccharide-induced Del-1 and Cytokine Expressions in Human Gingival Fibroblasts

Purpose: To detect the effect of Resolvin D1 (RvD1) on Developmental endothelial locus-1 (Del-1) and cytokine expressions human gingival fibroblast cells exposed to Porphyromonas gingivalis lipopolysaccharide (P. gingivalis-LPS).
 
 Material Methods: The RvD1 cell viability fibroblasts P. gingivalis-LPS were determined by MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay. Meanwhile, RvE1 Del-1 (IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-17) studied real-time PCR experiment, statistical analysis was performed using GraphPad Prism version 5 for Windows.
 Results: Cell assay results demonstrated that concentrations upregulated number compared control group at 24 72 hours. While reduced IL-17 mRNA expression, IL-10 expression increased as a time- dose-dependent manner. Also, IL-1β not affected treatments. Conclusion: down-regulated pro-inflammatory induced in fibroblast. displayed regulatory effects inflammation LPS-induced culture experiment. In particular, study display may have therapeutic potential modulate periodontal inflammation.
